How it began
In the beginning there were two — Zdeněk and Petr — with dreams of green internet services. Most of us will surely agree that when building and doing business in today's modern world, a company should care not only about how many employees it has, how well known its brand is or who its clients are, but also about what it is able to give back to nature through its business. And that is exactly why Greendata, with its Greenhousing service and DC6, decided to lead by example and was the first to bring green internet services to the Czech market.
What is part of the green ethics of Greendata s.r.o.
Greendata s.r.o. offers its services under the banner of the Green Ten, a guarantee of the globally recognized carbon neutral policy. Moreover, the company has offered "carbon neutral" services since its founding, while raising awareness of the problems of carbon in the atmosphere and supporting CSR projects focused on our environment. We recycle and give customers the option of selling their old HW through an exchange to other Greenhousing customers.

We don't rent racks. We own and run the DC6 datacenter in Prague 6, giving us real control over SLA and security.

We use LED lighting. We also strive to integrate our server rooms into larger building energy systems and use the heat for heating or direct renewable-energy consumption.

Protecting the environment is our company policy. Recycling happens not only in our offices but also at home for every employee. We recycle servers too — and give you the chance to recycle them.

We support green projects
From company profits we build the Greenhousing responsibility fund, and every year we pick one green project to invest in transparently.

We save forests
The company communicates with customers and authorities exclusively electronically. We try to use as little paper and as few outdated twentieth-century communication methods as possible.

We save materials
By choosing suitable commodity hardware we save materials (iron, aluminium) compared to expensive, heavy rackmount servers.

We use freon-free products for both cooling and fire-suppression systems.
